IPBD has established a fully functional steel mill in Erbil.

The mill processes readily available scrap metal into steel products for the construction market.

The company operates the steel mill under the banner of G. K. Steel.

G.K. Steel produces a range of reinforced bar products (Rebar) to supply the booming construction industry in Iraq.

Our use of the latest technology allows G.K. Steel to efficiently provide the construction market with materials of the highest standard at competitive prices. Our furnace and chimney designs also reduce emissions to a minimum level.

After the current expansion phase is completed, GK Steel will produce over 80,000 tonnes per year.

The rebars are carbon and alloy rounds and the types are threadbar and proprietary high strength rebar. The dimensions are 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm and 25mm.
